While reading this book, I realized the TV series on Crave/HBO was a really good adaptation of it. I could literally see the scenes and hear the lines on the page. It was a pretty hot and spicy book to read in public, but there were actually many teary moments too—those are mostly what I highlighted on my Kindle. I'm really glad I got to see Shane and Ilya's inner thoughts. I'm so happy for them (though kind of scared for what's coming in the second book). But I'm definitely going to read The Long Game right away.
